Assistant Coach Mackenzie Skupa

Mackenzie Skupa enters her second season (2019-20) as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Baskeball team.  Previously, she played on the Women's Basketball team for four seasons.


"Mackenzie has left her mark on SBU basketball through her four year playing career," Coach Keizer commented. "It has been a joy to watch her mature in our program and now join us on our coaching staff. Mackenzie will give us additional coaching and attention to detail with our young post group this season. We are fortunate to have her continue to impact SBU Basketball from the sideline."

Mackenzie graduated from Southwest Baptist in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.  In her four seasons at SBU, she scored 780 points for the Bearcats, averaging 7.1 points per game and making 51.7% of her field goal attempts. She also collected 403 rebounds, 21 blocks, and 51 steals in her career. Mackenzie, a native of Campbell, Nebraska currently resides in Bolivar, Missouri.
